Shipping, Returns and Terms of Sale

Last updated: 23 June 2026

Part A — Shipping and Returns

1. Order processing

Orders are generally processed within 5 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays.

During promotions, product launches and peak periods, processing may take longer.

You will receive a confirmation email after placing an order and a further notification when it has been dispatched.

2. Shipping destinations

We currently ship to eligible addresses within Australia.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

3. Shipping charges

Shipping charges are calculated and displayed at checkout.

Any free-shipping offer is subject to the conditions displayed with that offer, including minimum order values, eligible products and delivery areas.

4. Delivery estimates

Estimated delivery times shown during checkout or in shipping notifications are estimates only.

Delivery may be affected by:

  • Courier or postal delays

  • Weather

  • Public holidays

  • Regional or remote locations

  • Incorrect addresses

  • Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for courier delays outside our control, but we will provide reasonable assistance if a parcel is delayed or cannot be located.

5. Authority to leave

Where a customer selects or permits authority to leave, the parcel may be left at the delivery address without a signature.

Risk associated with a parcel left under an authority-to-leave instruction passes to the customer when the parcel is delivered in accordance with that instruction, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Choose a secure delivery location and consider weather conditions, as prolonged heat may soften the product.

6. Heat and texture during delivery

Beef tallow may soften or partially melt during warm weather.

A change in firmness alone does not necessarily mean the product is unsafe or defective. Place the sealed container upright in a cool location or refrigerate it to allow it to firm again.

Contact us before consuming the product if:

  • The seal is broken

  • The container has leaked

  • The packaging is significantly damaged

  • The product has an unusual odour or appearance

  • You otherwise believe it may be unsafe

7. Incorrect addresses and returned parcels

Customers must check their delivery details before completing checkout.

Where an order is returned because an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied, or because the parcel was not collected, we may charge the reasonable cost of redelivery.

This does not affect rights arising from an error made by us or the carrier.

8. Damaged, incorrect or missing orders

Inspect your order promptly after delivery.

Contact us if a product is damaged, missing, incorrectly supplied or otherwise appears defective.

Provide:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photographs of the product and packaging

  • Batch and best-before details where available

Keep the product and packaging until we advise otherwise.

9. Consumer guarantees

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

If a product has a major problem, you may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement. For a minor problem, we may provide an appropriate remedy within a reasonable time.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Change-of-mind returns

Because our products are food items, we generally do not accept returns for change of mind.

We may consider an unopened and unused product at our discretion where:

  • You contact us within one day of delivery

  • The tamper seal and packaging remain intact

  • The product has been stored correctly

  • The return is safe and legally permissible

  • You provide proof of purchase

Approved change-of-mind returns may be subject to return-delivery costs. Original delivery charges are not normally refundable for a change-of-mind return.

This section does not limit rights relating to faulty, unsafe, damaged or incorrectly supplied products.

11. Refund method

Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method.

Financial institutions and payment providers may require additional time to process the refunded amount.

However:

  • Colours may vary between screens

Information on our website is general in nature and is not medical, nutritional or dietary advice.

Customers are responsible for deciding whether a product is suitable for their own health, allergies, dietary requirements and circumstances.

Seek advice from an appropriately qualified health professional where necessary.

6. Prices

Prices are shown in Australian dollars and are GST free unless otherwise stated.

We may change prices and promotions at any time. Changes do not affect an order already accepted, except where an obvious pricing error has occurred.

Shipping and other applicable charges are displayed before checkout.

7. Orders and acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase.

An automated confirmation acknowledges receipt of the order but does not necessarily mean the order has been accepted.

We may reject or cancel an order where:

  • The product is unavailable

  • Payment is not authorised

  • Fraud or misuse is suspected

  • A material pricing or description error has occurred

  • Delivery cannot reasonably be completed

  • The order breaches purchase limits

Where we cancel an order after payment, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled item or order.

Payment transactions may be processed by third-party payment providers and may be subject to their additional terms and privacy policies.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

9. Promotions and discount codes

Promotions and discount codes:

  • Apply only during the advertised period

  • May be limited to particular products or customers

  • Cannot be redeemed for cash

  • Cannot be combined unless expressly stated

  • May be cancelled where fraud, misuse or technical error is identified

Specific promotional terms prevail where they differ from these general terms.

10. Wholesale and commercial orders

Retail website prices and terms may not apply to wholesale, hospitality, manufacturing or other commercial orders.

Separate prices, minimum quantities, freight arrangements, payment terms and agreements may apply.

11. Food handling

Follow all storage, handling and preparation instructions shown on the product packaging.

Use clean and dry utensils. Prevent foreign foods or water from entering the container.

Cook food thoroughly before consumption where appropriate.

Do not use or consume a product where the seal is broken, the packaging is compromised or there is a reasonable concern about product safety.

12. Website availability

We aim to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

We may suspend or change parts of the website for maintenance, security or business reasons.

13. Intellectual property

The website and its content—including the Hinterland Rendering Co. name, branding, label designs, product photography, illustrations, graphics, text and layout—are owned by or licensed to us.

They must not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission, except as allowed by law.

14. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Interfere with the website’s security or operation

  • Attempt unauthorised access

  • Introduce malicious software

  • Scrape or harvest information without permission

  • Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent activity

  • Misrepresent your identity

  • Infringe another person’s rights

15. Third-party services and links

The website may integrate with or link to third-party services.

We are not responsible for third-party websites, services or content. Your use of those services may be governed by separate terms.

16. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website or products where that loss was not reasonably foreseeable.

Any limitation applies only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

17. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, natural disaster, industrial action, system failure, epidemic, government action or supply interruption.

We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and communicate material delays.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms periodically.

The current version applies from the date shown at the top of this page. Terms applying to a completed purchase will generally be those in effect when the order was placed, subject to applicable law.

19. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

The parties submit to the courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in Queensland, without limiting any right a consumer has to bring a matter in another jurisdiction where the law permits.
